Never touched a Mahjong tile before? Perfect — this class is for you!
Join us for a fun, friendly introduction to American Mahjong, designed specifically for absolute beginners. We’ll start from the very beginning and walk through the basics together, including getting to know the tiles, understanding how to read the National Mah Jongg League card, setting up the game, and learning the basic flow of play.
No prior Mahjong experience is needed — seriously, none!
Your $30 class fee includes:
Two hours of beginner-friendly instruction
A 16-page Mahjong 101 workbook to take home
Helpful resource sheets for continued practice
A few fun surprises and prizes along the way!
2026 National Mah Jongg League cards are not included in the class fee; you can choose to add a card on to your purchase ($15). If you already own a 2026 NMJL card, please bring it with you. Official 2026 cards will also be available to purchase at the event. You do NOT need a card to participate in the lesson! :)
Drinks will be available for purchase from Chill Hill Winery during the class. 🍷
